Frances Marie Iverson (Pickett), 82, of Terre Haute, Indiana died surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 26, 2025. She was born to John Calvin Pickett and Agnes Josephine Pickett (Scherr) in Indianapolis on December 23, 1942. Frances enjoyed her work as a bookkeeper for Clean Air Service. During her time there she worked at both the Terre Haute and Indianapolis locations.
Frances enjoyed the simple things in life such as playing cards or Yahtzee. She especially enjoyed playing rummy 500 with all of her friends and family. Often she could be found after work enjoying a good scifi or murder mystery book. Frances also filled her time with baking cookies, going to yard sales and visiting friends. In her later years, she enjoyed watching Westerns or murder mysteries. Frances' favorite hobby of all was spending time with her family.
Frances is survived by her children Michael Iverson, Vada Yates (Brian); sister Janice Pickett; grandchildren Vannessa Constable (Jason), Phillip Iverson (Monique), Joseph Yates (Carissa), James Iverson (Ashley), Jacob Yates, Veronica Rutledge (John), Virginia Rutledge (Marek), Calvin Rutledge (Abby), Vivian Bonebrake, Vanora Toms, Stephen Gibson; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Betty Jane Pickett, Lonnie Pickett, Rachel Tylak (Ron), Chris Pickett, Tiffany Jenkins (David).
Frances was preceded in death by both of her parents; the father of her children Dennis Sidney Iverson; brothers John and Robert Pickett; nephew John David Pickett, great nephew Christopher Dale Pickett
Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. A celebration of Life will be held Sept 13th, 2025, location to be determined.
