She was born in Matthews on October 8, 1935 to the late Opal (Mittank) Worrick and the late Frank Worrick.
Frances graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1953.
She married James "Jim" Richard Johnson on March 4, 1955 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He passed away on May 23, 2016.
Frances was a member of Grace Methodist Church. She was a telephone operator in her younger years for AT&T and retired from the Blackford County High School after 13 years where she was the secretary. She loved crossword puzzles and liked to shop. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her great joy.
Frances will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kimberly R. Johnson of Hartford City; son, Randy L. Johnson (fiancé, Sue Taylor) of Pennville; grandchildren, Jennifer (husband, Kent) Shatto, Josh (wife, Alexsis) Johnson, Brittany (husband, Jordan) Bechtol and Kayla Anderson; great-grandchildren, Stephanie (husband, Zachary) Alexander, Sadi (husband, Austin) Schrock, Savanah (husband, Andrew) Davis, Aysilia (husband, Drake) Courtney, Ayleah Johnson and Jayden Johnson; 6 additional-great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren; sister, Doris Fortner of North Vernon; brother, Phillip Worrick of Marion; several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Wayne Worrick, Thomas Worrick, Betty VanGordon, William Worrick and Mike Worrick.
Funeral service will be at 1 PM Monday, September 8, 2025 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. Burial will follow at Matthews Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday, September 8, 2025 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Grace Methodist Church, 312 W. Washington St., Hartford City, IN 47348
