Martha Frances Kelley was born on the 21st. day of November 1934 in San Augustine, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; W. F. Murray and Ada Murray; husband, Bill Kelley; and her sister, Avis Kelley.
She is survived by her son, Lamar Kelley and his children, Gwendolyn Glazier and husband, Frederick Glazier; their children, Falcon, Ember and Raven; Kimberly Kelley and her daughter, Clara; Jessica Kelley and her children, Wesley, Mikcal and Juliet; and Stephanie Ananth. Her daughter, Juanita Davila and husband, Nick Davila.
Her son Robert Kelley and his children, Wesley Kelley and wife, Krystle, and their children, Camila and Emma; Travis Kelley; Chance Kelley and wife, Christina, and their children, Aiden, Bella, Wyatt and Jewel; and Heather Stenson.
Her son Denis Kelley, and his children, Christopher Kelley and wife, Ramya Ambikapathi and their daughter, Siona; William Kelley and wife, Sarah and their daughter, Hannah; and Johnathan Kelley and his wife Ashley.
Frances and Bill moved from San Augustine and spent a few years in Austin, but chose
Katy, Texas where they made their home. She was a stay-at-home mom for her four children. They were not wealthy, but their children always felt safe and loved. She taught the importance of family, to respect others, to help those around you and to stand up for yourself when necessary.
When the children were older she found employment outside the house in a variety of fields. She was a cosmetologist and she was the smart, capable one others sought to solve problems if they arose; she became a cosmetology instructor and taught others to do the work; she was an armed security guard and a bookkeeper for a commercial business. And through it all she was, Mom. Always loving and loyal to her children and her husband from whom she was never separated except by death.
She died peacefully in her sleep Friday morning, July 18 and joined the family that was waiting for her
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Chapel of Schmidt Funeral Home – Katy, where the funeral service be on Friday, July 25 at 1:00 PM with Rev. C. McAllister "Mac" Vaughn, officiating. Frances will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bill in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
