Frances G. Kusky

KUSKY, Frances G.  age 88, of Byron, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Memorial Health Care, Owosso. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, January 23, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gaines with Fr. Robert McKeon celebrant. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home where a rosary will be prayed 2 PM Thursday afternoon. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Mrs. Kusky was born March 28, 1915 in Fisherville, MI, the daughter of George and Stella (Ceglarek) Nowaczyk. She married Peter Winkowski and he preceded her in death. She then married Benjamin Kusky in 1954 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Kusky had resided in the Flint area most of her life. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Bay City. Surviving are: son, David Winkowski and wife, Jeanne of Lansing; two daughters, Marie and husband, Harold Ecker of Flint, Loretta and husband, Richard Weber of Gaines; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sister, Lucille Creighton of Midland; special niece, Mary Ann Kajdan; many other nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents, two brothers, George and Joseph Nowaczyk; sister, Sophie Spencer.
