Frances Mae Lauchner, 95, of Highland, formerly of Rochester, IL. passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Cedarhurst of Highland. Frances was born on March 30, 1929, in Spaulding, IL. the daughter of Aubrey M. and Viola (Raylots) Brachear. She married Herbert M. Lauchner on June 25, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2009.
Frances was a former member of Rochester United Methodist Church and Highland Hope United Methodist Church and was a current member of Troy Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, bird watching, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, visiting with family and friends, going to family dinners and taking drives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Herb; her son Steven; and one brother, Billy Gene Brachear.
Frances is survived by her son, David (Gail) Lauchner; grandchildren, Christopher (Jenessa) Lauchner and April (Steven) Noriega; great grandchildren, Liam & Elizabeth Lauchner, SJ Noriega and Audriana Mae Noriega (expected in March 2025); one brother, Aubrey M. Brachear Jr. and one sister, Peggy Clark as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Troy Methodist Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
