Frances Gale (Ritchie) Lloyd, age 105, of Hawley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on September 20, 2025. Born in Scranton to George and Frances Ritchie on October 26, 1919. While in school she was a lifeguard at Weston Field in Scranton. She was a graduate of Scranton High School. Later she moved to Allentown with her husband, Thomas (Tucker) where she raised her family. They had a summer home at Lake Wallenpaupack where they later retired. She liked to camp, fish and go tubing on the Upper Delaware River with her family. The highlight of her week was going to the casino. She enjoyed socializing with her friends at the Hawley Village Apartments. She was an advisory council member for the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging. She volunteered for the Hawley Senior Center for close to 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Smith and her son, Preston Lloyd and his wife Debbie. Nine grandchildren, Fran Martin, Michael Galenti, George Galenti, Thomas Shafer, Pam Bostwick, Corey Lloyd, Chris Lloyd, Missy Enriquez, and Nicole Looman. Twelve great grandchildren, Grant Kretchik, Chase Galenti, Dennis Hines, Wyatt and Beckett Lloyd, Jacinda and Dominck Enriquez, Sophia Looman, Chad Shafer, Shelly Shafer, Stephanie Russom and Michael Bostwick and nine great great grandchildren, Chance, Nova, Audrina, Katilelna, Mavrick, Gavin, Logan, Austin and Harper.

Preceded her in death was her husband, Thomas William Lloyd, daughter, Malvina Pickett, son Ritchie Lloyd, grandson, Edwin Shafer and granddaughter, Tracy Pickett.

Memorial donations my be made to the Hawley Senior Center, 337a Park Pl, Hawley, PA 18428.

A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
