Frances Price Long

Frances Price Long entered into her eternal life on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Frances was born to J.D. and Linnie Price on October 6, 1937.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Abundant Life Worship Center with visitation beginning at 10 A.M. and her service to be held at 11 A.M. Her burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Services under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home.

Frances was dedicated to serving her Lord, a true prayer warrior she was. She was a very skilled upholsterer for years before becoming a school bus driver until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, nature, her flowers and bird watching in her later years.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Marcus A. Long, Sr.; her grandson, Bryan Youngblood, her granddaughter, Wendi E. Long, her brothers, Bill, Max, Odell, and Jack and her sisters, Audrey and Rachel.

She is survived by her seven children, Marcus A. Long, Jr. (Michele), Sharon L. Youngblood (George), Luke Long (Karol), Joel Long, Sr., Candice L. Fletcher, Suzanne L. Barbo (Stoney) and Monty Long (Josie) and fifteen grandchildren, Sarah Long, Rachel Bradley (Randall), Marcus A. Long, III (Hannah), Georgia Latour (Curtis), Matthew Youngblood (Kera), Jake Youngblood (Sarah), Brooke Moseley (Trent), Stephen Long (Whitney), Casey L. Thomas, Joel D. Long, II, Amanda L. Young (Preston), Lottie Fletcher, Katie B. Dial (Andy), Stoney Barbo, Jr. and Brianna Long. Frances also had a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and sisters-in-law, Wanda Tharp and Sue Kerbow.

Pallbearers will be Mark Long, Jr., Luke Long, Monty Long, Stephen Long, Stoney Barbo, Jr., George Youngblood and Honorary Pallbearer will be Joel Long, Sr.
