On December 24, 2024, our dear Mother, (Great) Grandmother, Sister, and Wife to a loving family Frances C. Lopez fell asleep in death at 12:43 pm. She was born on 7/20/1943 in Chandler twp., Michigan to Javier C. Castro and Elvira H. Castro. She was the first born of 17 children. .
She is preceeded in death by her parents, her brothers: Antonio Castro, Ernesto Castro, and Armando Castro, her sister Marina Castro and her son Ralph C. Lopez Jr.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Lopez, her children: Orlando Torres of Jacksonville, FL, Adelina Torres of Rockport, Tx, Albert (Ruby)Lopez of Taft, Tx, Rosemarie (Dejan) Okilj of Portland, Tx, Isabel (Jesse) Vasquez of Rockport, Tx and widowed daughter-in-law Kimberly Lopez of Aransas Pass, Tx. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Elvira Castro, Jaun Javier Castro, Elsa (Delfino) Medina, Sara (Ray) Benavidez, Reynaldo Castro, Ruben (Anna) Castro, Rebecca (Roberto) Pelaez, Raul Castro, MaryAnn (Marc) Schnorr, Diana (Brad) Cline, Reymundo Castro and Joe (Amy) Castro.
She assisted her mother in the care of many of her younger brothers and sisters and would recount those days with love when asked. During her youth she enjoyed spending her time at the skating rinks and dancing. She continued to enjoy spending her time with her husband dancing and fishing at the piers of Rockport Beach. Many days were spent at the beach with her many relatives, children, and (great) grandchildren. She was a baptized publisher and a loyal servant of Jehovah at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Aransas Pass. She would spread the hope of paradise everlasting with her loved ones and friends. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and daughter to see growth all around.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be led by Brother Dale Myers at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2024. The family will continue the visitation after the services for all who wish to say their goodbyes.
