Frances L. Martynowicz, 81 years old, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at her residence.

Frances was born on February 1, 1944 in South Bend, to the late Leonard and Carrie (Chwalek) Martynowicz, who preceded her in death.

Frances is survived by her brothers, Leonard L. (Marilyn) Martynowicz and James (Cindy) Martynowicz; nephews, Michael (Mandy) Martynowicz and Brett (Virginia) Martynowicz; 5 great-nieces, and 4 great-nephews.

Frances was a proud graduate of South Bend Central High School. She went on to work for Baer's Furniture Company in both South Bend and Florida, dedicating 26 years to the business. Later, she continued her career at Universal Studios in Florida and later, Crowe Chizek. A passionate sports fan, Frances especially loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame teams, and the Chicago Bears. She had a deep love for travel and enjoyed exploring the world. Above all, Frances cherished her family. She treasured time spent with her great-nieces and nephews, looked forward to Wednesday summer lunches with her brothers, and shared a special bond with her double cousins plus Charlotte. Throughout her life, Frances experienced much and touched the hearts of many.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 3:00pm Friday, August 1, 2025 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd, South Bend, with a memorial service to be held at 3:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend.
