Frances E. "Betty" Notartomaso, 94, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 16, 2026 after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel T. Notartomaso, and their son David. A Notartomaso.
Betty was born in Worcester, MA to the late John and Lillian (Ducharme) O'Connor. At the age of seven, Betty became ill with polio and remained hospitalized for the next thirteen years of her life. It was during this time that she met her soulmate Daniel. While her formative years were faced with adversity, her strength, resilience and determination rewarded her with an abundance of blessings. Betty and Daniel married and settled in Clinton MA where they raised their eight children.
Betty is survived by her children, Gail Bourque and Donat, Daniel T Notartomaso Jr. and Kim, Michael J. Notartomaso and Donna, Ronald A. Notartomaso, John J. Notartomaso, Linda Zelent and Alex, and Debbie Vaillant. Betty is also survived by her 14 grand-children which whom she adored. Shaun, Jason, Sean, Evan, Garrett, Daniel III, Jessica, Beth, Jennifer, Amanda, Adam, Jessica, Meagan and Jeremy. She also leaves 10 great-grandchildren. Shaun, Daniel, Jenna, Andrew, Jacqueline, Lucas, Emma. Sofia, Liam and Koura. Her siblings, Eileen Collins, Walter and James O'Connor. Several generations of nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. She is predeceased by her siblings Patricia Cooper, Carol Wittington, Geraldine Taylor, Kathleen Horsley, John and Daniel O'Connor.
Betty was the quintessential homemaker. And while she couldn't cook, she mastered all crafts and was a beautiful seamstress, quilt and jewelry maker. Known for her intelligence, and keen wit, her zest for life was unmatched. She was often described as a "spitfire" who always shared her opinions, thoughts, and advice. She loved snacking on candy and desserts, trips to the casino, playing bingo, and more bingo and even more bingo. Above all, she was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Private services will be held under the care of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St, Clinton. Memorial contributions in memory of Betty can be made to the March Of Dimes, 112 Turnpike Rd. #300, Westborough, MA 01581, who pioneered the polio vaccine.
