Mrs. Frances Lee Ivey Orrell of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, November 28,2025 at the Berry Hill Nursing Home. She was born August 29,1936 in Halifax County, VA and was 89 years old. She was the daughter of the late Robert Emmett Ivey and the late Wilda Burgess Ivey and was married to the late William Henry Orrell.
She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was very active in her prime years. She taught children’s Sunday School and was the Nursery Coordinator for many years. She also taught the 2-year-old classes at First Baptist Weekday School. She loved animals, especially her beloved Sweet Pea. Her greatest joy was dressing up like a clown, the Easter Bunny, Mrs. Claus, St. Patrick, Ragged Ann and parading downtown visiting the local businesses and giving out candy to children and adults alike.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Boelte, Rev. Susan Davis, and Rev. Dr. Curtis Finch officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the First Baptist Church and other times at the home of her daughter, 1080 Carriage End Way, South Boston, VA.
