Frances Padgett

Frances Bratcher Padgett, age 75, of Nashville, TN, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. Frances was born on December 4, 1948, in Bowling Green KY to the late Clarence Bratcher and Elsie Mae Whalin. She is proceeded in death by her brother Jessie "Willard" Bratcher and her loving life partner, Lon Franklin Raby.
Frances grew up and graduated in Richardsville, KY in 1967, where she was voted most likely to succeed. She moved to Nashville in 1967 and completed her Associate's Degree in Business from Draughon's Junior College of Business. She continued her love of helping others when she began working for Baptist Hospital in 1968 then moving to Saint Thomas Hospital in 1972. In 1973, she began working for the General Surgery Practice of Dr. Graves and Dr. Sadler, where she served as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper until 2000.
Fran enjoyed traveling, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Fran was a beautiful person inside and out, showing kindness and compassion to everyone she met. She loved her family dearly and cared so deeply for the ones around her. She made a huge impact on so many lives.
Frances is survived by her son, Larry Wayne Padgett Jr., and daughter-in-law Dee Padgett; her grandchildren – Kaylam Keil (Christopher) and Kendall Padgett (Chelsea); her great-grandchildren – Eelan Keil and Maddox Padgett, and the father of her son, Larry Wayne Padgett Sr.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit on Saturday, January 13th, 2023, from nine o'clock in the morning until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at ten o'clock in the morning at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The committal service will immediately follow.
