Allen Memorial Home - EndicottFrances A. Polmateer of Endwell, NY was welcomed into God’s grace on December 14, 2025. She was born August 24, 1936.
Frances is predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Franklin, in addition to her parents Andrew and Jennie Argento and her beloved sisters Mary (Ben), Concetta (Dom) and Antionette (Jake).
Frances’ life was genuine & sincere. Those who came into her world - in one way or another - were kept close to her Heart. And they kept her close in return. From her laugh that made her eyes squint completely shut to the hugs she was always giving away. Frances was simply adored.
The love of her life, Franklin, was her world. She laughed at every repeated joke he told as if it were the first time she heard it.
Her family was her cornerstone. She was a pillar of strength even if she didn’t realize it.
She had strong devotion to her faith in which she found comfort until the end.
Frances is survived by her younger brother, Vito Argento (Eleanor). She & Vito spent much time together just sitting at the kitchen table chatting. She leaves behind two children who will miss her dearly - David Polmateer (Ellen) and Linda Pierce (Dan). They all shared many laughs and made fun memories.
Frances had four grandchildren - Amanda Avery (Ryan), Joey Polmateer (Melanie), Kyle Pierce (Shannon) and Julia Zarra (Anthony). She also had four great grandchildren - Hailey, Carter, Ryley and Oakland - and two more on the way.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 6th at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, (live stream, https://www.youtube.com/live/Cq1aCu5IqHQ). The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of Mass at 11am. Frances will join her beloved Franklin at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell following the funeral mass.
