Frances Schielke Obituary
(Lockport): Frances Schielke, age 102, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Lockport, NY. She was born on March 29, 1922, in Lockport, NY to the late Robert and Mildred (Bull) Baney.
Frances was a part of the Newfane United Methodist Church and volunteered in the kitchen for many public events. She was also an active member of the Newfane Historical Society for many years. She enjoyed canning, gardening, and flowers.
In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband Arthur Schielke in 1994; her son, David Schielke; and her sister, Nina Aikin.
Frances is survived by her son, Robert (Joan) Schielke of Lockport; grandson, William R. Schielke; as well as several nieces and nephews. Frances and her family would also like to offer special appreciation to all her neighbors who have been very helpful and have become more than just neighbors over the years.
Her family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St, Gasport, NY 14067 on Thursday, January 30th from 4:00-7:00pm. Her funeral service will be held the following day at 11:00am with interment to follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Frances may be made to the Newfane United Methodist Church, 2699 Main St, Newfane, NY 14108, or Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr, Lockport, NY 14094.
