Ruby Hetrick Obituary
Ruby Annetta Hetrick, died on Friday, February 6th, 2026 in her home while under the care of her family and the staff of Niagara Hospice. Born on Wednesday, February 22nd, 1939 in Clarion, Pennsylvania, Ruby lived a life filled with love, devotion, and creativity.
A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ruby is survived by her children: Vincent Hetrick of GA, Keith Hetrick, Jr. of Gasport, Kevin Hetrick of East Otto, and her stepson: David Hetrick of CT. She also leaves behind her sister, Dorothy (Robert) Courson of Virginia; her grandchildren: Karl (Valerie) Hetrick, Elizabeth (Patrick) Dannebrock, Keith (Lindsay) Hetrick III; and her great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Wesley, Thomas, William, Alice, Jacob, Chloe, and Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Sr.; her daughter, Kimberly; her stepdaughter, Gloria Kriese; her parents: Donald and Clara (Chandler) Gross, and her brothers: Noble, Warren, George, and Arthur Gross.
Ruby was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in crocheting, and gardening, often surrounded by the vibrant beauty of her flower beds. Ruby's passion for baking was renowned in the community, especially her delicious pies that graced the menus of local restaurants. She was a devoted grandmother who took great pleasure in passing down her baking skills to her granddaughter, ensuring her legacy of love and tradition would endure.
The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport on Wednesday, February 11th from 6-8 pm ONLY. A graveside service will take place with interment at 11 am on Thursday, February 12th in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruby's name may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, New York, 14094. Her family wishes to extend their gratitude for the care and compassion shown to Ruby in her final days.
