Alice J. Schultz, of the Town of Royalton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at her home following a brief battle with cancer.
Born March 13, 1943 in Buffalo, NY she was a daughter of the late Aloysius and Florence (Buchner) Gangloff. Alice was a graduate of Maryvale High School, Class of 1961. On May 16, 1964 she married the late John J. “Jack” Schultz. Together they operated a small farm in Lockport until 1977 when they moved to their farm in Royalton. Primarily a homemaker, Alice also helped operate the farm alongside her husband. A person of strong faith, she attended St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church in Akron. Alice enjoyed canning and tending her large vegetable garden. She loved being outdoors and feeding the many birds that came to her feeders. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the lights of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, John in 2020; brother, Donald (Jane) Gangloff; and brother in-law, Norman Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Kristian) Hagen; son, John A. Schultz; grandchildren, Kayla Hagen and Jacob Hagen; sister, Arlene Davis; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan 9 from 10AM-12:30PM, with funeral immediately following at 12:30PM at Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport, NY 14067. Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice at www.niagarahospice.org.
