Frances Ramona (Bass) Shearin Rocky Mount - Mrs. Frances Bass Shearin, 83, passed away December 13, 2025 in Rocky Mount, NC. Frances was born in Spring Hope, NC on July 18, 1942 to Simon and Annie Bass. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, NC. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Shearin; siblings, Hubert Parker, Simon Bass, RL Bass, Luther Bass, Tempie Lewis, Joe Bass, Lucille Boykin, Judy Turner, and Mildred Wester.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Tess Johnson of Rocky Mount, NC; grandson Tommy Francione (Brian) of Needham, MA; granddaughter Lauren Hedrick (Alex) of Snow Camp, NC; granddaughter Kimberly Dalton (Ray) of Snow Camp, NC; brother Sam Bass (Ruth) of Ontario, Canada; niece Vivan Wrights (Lonnie) of Clemmons, NC; and five great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to special friends and caregivers Karen Cobb, Kirk Haskins, Cathy Abbott, and Henry Abbott. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 1:00-1:45pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm with Rev. Brandon Dees and Rev. Henry Abbott officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
