Frances Crisco Smith, 78, of Concord, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Frances was born July 29, 1947 in North Carolina to the late James Silas Crisco and the late Emma Mae Love Crisco. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Vernon Garry Smith.
Frances enjoyed reading and gardening. She was also an amazing cook. She dearly loved her little dog, Alfie. Frances and Garry had a strong marriage and took pleasure in running businesses together: car wash, convenient store, landscaping, and construction. Most of all, Frances was a loving wife, daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Hyde. Burial will follow at the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, New Salem.
