Frank was born in Minturno Italy on June 21, 1941 to the late Giovanni and Concetta Ciufo DiStasio.
Frank immigrated from Italy in the 60's and married in 1967. He devoted his entire life to his family and was the patriarch to multiple generations of Distasio's. He spent over half a century as a barber and was well known by many of Norwalk's residents. Affectionately referred to by his customers as " Frank the Barber".
In addition to his wife of 57 years, Elvira, Frank is survived by his sons John DiStasio (Rosanna Distasio) of Norwalk, Frank DiStasio (Gaby Distasio) of Rye Brook NY survivors: John Distasio, Frank Distasio,Gabriel Distasio,Cristian Distasio, Leo Distasio, and Blake Distasio.
Frank was predeceased by his brothers Ernesto Distasio, Bruno Distasio, and Renato Distasio.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, June 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18, at 10:00 AM at St, Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
