She graduated with a B.S. in 1975. From there, she proceeded to Phillips School of Theology where she graduated in 1979 with a Master of Divinity in Theology. Other duty assignments include Guam, Cuba, Charleston, Naval Air Station, Ft. Washington MD, and many other temporary assignments. During the Persian Gulf Desert Storm, she was assigned to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as Chaplain, serving wounded soldiers, the families of fallen soldiers, and the medical staff.

Francies was a founder and cofounder of several associations and organizations, mostly serving at summer camps for teen girls and abused young girls and women. She has been a constant force for young and disadvantaged girls and women over her career of 50+ years. When others would give, she stayed steady on her mission until it was complete, and she never gave up on any cause that there was a need for.
From 1999-January 2024, she served as Chaplain at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport LA. During her time as Chaplain, she ministered to thousands of veterans. With these veterans, she made deep, personal, and spiritual relationships by her faith in God, knowing He is the all powerful.
To Francies, her family was the most important thing in the world. Even though she didn't birth any children of her own, her nieces, nephews, and little cousins were her children. She made it her life's mission to care for and be responsible for each of them. We, the family, could have never asked for a better human being, always in service to others.
