Francine Vela Obituary
Francine Darlene (Chata) Vela age 68 of Reno, Nevada passed away on Tuesday August 20, 2024. Francine is survived by her husband Julian Vela, children Javier(Angela), Rebekah, Joshua (Corina), Jason and Justine (Eric), 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Francine and Julian were married 44 years and 4 months and blended their families when they married. Francine is predeceased by her mother Inez M. Chavez, sister Irma and brother Dennis. Francine is also survived by her brother Javier (Kazue), sister Sandy (late Mohammed), brother Terry (Nancy), sister Roxanne (George) and brother Francisco. Francine lovingly doted on her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking them shopping and to the movies. She loved dancing with Josiah and spending time with Alyssa, Mariah and Olivia at the salon. She looked forward to her trips to Wyoming to visit her 6 grandsons and cheer on their football and baseball games. During Francine’s last months she was especially joyous as she welcomed her new great grandson and new granddaughter Aurora.
