Francis T. "Bud" Bennett

Francis T. "Bud" Bennett of Arlington, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family. He was the devoted husband of Marilyn A. Bennett, his beloved wife and best friend of 70 years.

Born and raised in Arlington, Bud was the only son of the late Francis and Ruth Bennett. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army before attending Northeastern University and embarking on a long and successful career as an engineer. Known for his steady presence, warm hugs and generous heart, Bud lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, and love for his family and friends.

Bud is survived by his children Thomas Bennett of Barnstead, Daniel Bennett and William Purcell of Middleborough, and Paula and Brian Warren of Woburn. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Bennett of Derry. Bud was the cherished grandfather of five and the proud great-grandfather of nine, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Bud found great happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved boating, golfing, woodworking, and especially spending time at Halfmoon Lake surrounded by family and friends. His warmth, wisdom, and humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut ST., ARLINGTON on Tuesday November 11th from 4-7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 12th at 11:30 am in Saint Agnes' Church, Arlington. Burial in Saint Paul's Cemetery in Arlington.
