Francis Coffey, age 75 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home.

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on October 15, 1948 the son of the late Wesley and Elsie (Koger) Coffey. Francis had worked as a coal miner for Blue Diamond, Deputy for the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office, and Welder for Wabash National, and was a member of the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. HE enjoyed hunting and fishing, but in his later years his spending time with his grandchildren were his favorite times in life.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn S. (Cox) Coffey; son, Wesley Coffey; daughter, Barbara L. Hill; brothers, Farrell Coffey, Hoyet Coffey, Stanley Coffey, and Anthony Wayne Coffey; sister, Rosie Coffey; and grandchildren, Norman L. Hill, Kevin Hill, and Stacy S. Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie (Jones) Coffey of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; son, Lee R. Bennett (Bobbi) of Alvin, Illinois; daughters, Frances Jill Walker (Jimmy) of Lafayette, Indiana and Deanna J. Siple (James) of Melbourne, Florida; stepchildren, Angela Coffey and Adam Coffey; brothers, Clarence Coffey (Fay) of Stearns, Kentucky, Ruben Coffey (Leah) of Plano, Texas, and Andrew Coffey (Sharon) of Cleveland, Tennessee; sisters, Joanne Jones (Clyde) of Stearns, Kentucky, Margie Hernandez (George) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Dorothy Gregory (Kelly) of Bronston, Kentucky, Judy Clark (Randall) of Lancaster, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bradly Hill, Luke Bennett, Seth First, Zack Bennett, Joey Bennett, Devon Siple, Colt Bennett, Josh Siple, Pepsi B. Walker, Morgan Siple, Nicolette Siple, Urijah Coffey, and Luka Coffey; and great grandchildren, Damion Bennett, Louann Shoffner, Harper Chinn, and Dallas Chinn.

Funeral Services will be held 3pm Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Tapley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1pm Wednesday at the Church.
