Francis Cunningham

Mary Francis (Morris) Cunningham, 78, was born on February 21, 1947, in Pickens, Oklahoma, the daughter of J.C. Morris and Rosie Almida Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 33 years, Dwayne Cunningham; grandson, Tyler Provence; brother, Sam Morris; and sisters, Lucille Staggs, Jo Ann Sisk, and Peggy Whisenhunt.

Francis was a lifelong resident of McCurtain County and was a graduate of Battiest High School. She married the love of her life, Dwayne Cunningham, on October 5, 1990, in DeQueen, Arkansas.

Francis enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with her husband, Dwayne. Together, they always had a large garden and even built their house from the ground up; it was something that made them both very proud. Most of all, she loved her family beyond measure and spending time with them brought her so much joy. Francis will be missed deeply by her loved ones, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family forever.

Francis is survived by her children, David Scarberry of Ringold, OK, Marilyn Ashlock of Boswell, OK, and Nett Wright and husband, Doug of Wilson, OK; brothers, Buddy Morris and wife, Linda and Vic Morris; sister, Ethel Rushing; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
