Francis ENTRUP

Francis "Frank" William Entrup, 80, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on May 14, 2025, in Spokane. He was born in Cottonwood, Idaho, on April 8, 1945, to William and Clara Entrup.

Frank graduated from St. Gertrude's Academy in Cottonwood, in 1963. He received his certification as an automotive mechanic in May 1966, and then five months later, he was drafted into the U.S. Army in October 1966. Frank served in Vietnam, receiving two Purple Hearts and an Army Commendation medal before he was discharged in February 1969.

In 1970, Frank married Judy Turner in Cottonwood. Together they raised three children and enjoyed 35 years of marriage before Judy passed in 2005. While Frank and Judy were dating, Frank returned to school to earn a degree in structural drafting. He was dedicated to his career and was proud to have worked nearly 38 years for the same company as a drafter and estimator until his retirement at age 65.

Frank was a parishioner at Mary Queen Catholic Church in Spokane for many years. He had a passion for classic cars and hot rods and was a lifelong fan of stock car racing, both local and NASCAR.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Judy. He is survived by his children, Mary Iversen, Marcia Ryburn, and Frank Entrup Jr. He also leaves behind his siblings, Kathy Lusher, Dale Entrup, and Pat Hardin; and his seven grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m., at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 3423 E. Carlisle Ave., Spokane, WA 99217. Mass will then begin at 10:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall. The committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, 17825 E. Trent Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99216.
