Francis F. Erff, 94, of Wallingford, CT, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at MidState Medical Center. He was born on April 12, 1931 in New Haven, CT to the late Frederick and Marion (Zottoli) Erff.

Frank was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having honorably served during the Cold War. He worked for New Haven Parking Authority before becoming a General Manager for the State of CT Department of Utilities until his retirement. Frank was an avid golfer and longtime member of Wallingford Country Club where he was a Past President. He served with the 2nd Company Governor's Foot Guard serving the Command as Treasurer before retiring at the rank of Major. Frank was also a member of the Wallingford Elks Lodge.

Frank is survived by his children, Leslie Stone and Gregory Erff of Branford; his four grandchildren, Christine (Erff) Mangler, Seth Cormier (Ana), and Andrew and Gregory Stone; two great grandchildren, Abbey Mangler and Maggie Cormier; sister-in-law, Jean Erff; and nieces and nephews, Richard Erff (Dawn), David Erff (Yolanda), Linda Beaudet and Lori Gardner (Scott); and former spouse, Margaret Kirby. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Leonard Erff and Richard E. Erff.

His family will receive relatives and friends at The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386, Main St. in the Yalesville section of Wallingford on Wednesday, September 10th, from 9:30am to 11am, when his funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am. Interment with military honors will follow at the State Veterans' Cemetery in Middletown. Gifts in Frank's memory may be sent to: Honor Flight Connecticut (www.honorflightct.org)
