Francis Fallon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clayton Funeral Home, Inc. - Kings Park on Jan. 24, 2026.
Francis "Frank" Fallon, born July 9, 1938, in the Bronx to Mary and Patrick Fallon, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so fiercely. Frank lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and an unwavering devotion to those closest to him.

For six proud years, Frank served his country in the United States Navy. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Mary Walsh, whom he married on June 9, 1962. Their marriage of 64 years was the foundation of his life marked by deep respect, partnership, and an enduring love that never wavered. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter raising five children Eileen, Patrick, JeanMarie, Michael, and James whom Frank considered his greatest accomplishment.

Frank's commitment to service extended far beyond the military. He dedicated his career to protecting others through the New York City Police Department and later as a Special Detective Investigator for the Suffolk County District Attorney. Each role was carried out with integrity, pride, and an unshakable sense of duty. A veteran member of the Suffolk County Police Department's Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Band, Frank was honored as Man of the Year in 2020 and proudly marched in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Above all else, Frank was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a cherished uncle and godfather, and a loyal friend. Known for his infectious laugh, resilience in the face of adversity, and boundless compassion, Frank found joy in life's simple pleasures; summer days by the pool, the grill fired up, a cold Schaefer in hand, and the company of those he loved. He was a diehard New York Giants fan, an avid Lionel train collector, and a lifelong enthusiast of Celtic music. When adventure called, Frank was always ready especially if it involved Mary, Aunt Eileen, and a trip to Vegas or Atlantic City.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his children Eileen, Patrick (Heather), JeanMarie (Joseph), Michael (Laura), and James (Kristin); eight grandchildren Patrick (Kelli), Megan, Bridget, Kristen, Nicole, Michael, Joseph and Ryan; and three great-grandchildren Shea, Quinn, and Murphy. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Cassidy.

Frank Fallon was a guiding light to all who knew him. His presence, love, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

To all of our beautiful cousins,
we are heartbroken and shocked to hear of the sudden loss of our dearest Uncle Frankie, he is surely resting in God´s arms. The memories are too many to count, but Uncle Frankie, Mamie and our beloved Mom, Eileen Shaw on their trips to Las Vegas were among the best and the funniest stories to tell! I still remember dancing ""the twist" with Aunt Mamie, at their wedding and will always cherish being their flower girl! Much love, Coleen and the Shaw Clan
