Francis Frank Fauci

Francis "Frank" Fauci, 85, of Nokomis, Florida, and formerly of Poughkeepsie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Born on June 7, 1940, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Frank grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was the son of the late Charles and Catherine "Kate" Fauci.
A graduate of Arlington High School and Dutchess Community College, Frank went on to enjoy a successful 30 year career in finance at IBM in Poughkeepsie before retiring in 1991.
On January 2, 1987, Frank married the former Marvadean "Dean" Huff, Mrs. Fauci survives at their home in Nokomis Fl.
Together, Frank and Dean shared a love of travel, having journeyed across all 50 states in their motor home over the course of two years.
Frank was also known for his quick wit, warm smile, and light-hearted humor even if it was at his own jokes. Always looking for a good cheese Danish, he could also be found picking up his winning lottery tickets every day, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went.
Frank was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and relished in their accomplishments. His family was the most important part of his life; he loved nothing more than being surrounded by loved ones and celebrating their accomplishments.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his children: Michael Fauci and wife Dina of South Carolina; Karen Desmond of Hyde Park, NY; and Tracy Merritt and husband Jeff of Poughkeepsie, NY, Shelly Sommer of Kentucky, and his former wife, Gail Fauci of Poughkeepsie.
He is also survived by his brother Larry Fauci of North Carolina.
He was predeceased by his sister Marie Caruso.
A memorial mass will be on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Epiphany Cathedral, 310 Sarasota St. Venice, Fl 34285.
A celebration of life will follow at Spanish Lakes Clubhouse in Nokomis, Florida.
