Francis Ferris Obituary

Francis E. Ferris Jr., 71, of Syracuse, peacefully passed away on Thursday at St. John Episcopal Hospital. He was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Francis enjoyed snowmobiling and camping in his free time. He was predeceased by his loving wife Betsy Ferris in 2007, his daughter, Hazel Ferris; his brother, Stanley Ferris. Francis is survived by his son, Francis E. (Tracy) Ferris III of Crimora, VA; his step-son, Robert Wilber (DiShee Swanagan) of Syracuse ; his three brothers, Wayne (Sally) Ferris of Phoenix, NY, John Ferris of Phoenix, NY, and Shawn Ferris; his two sisters, Jacqueline Jones of West Monroe, NY, and Judy Bonanni of Brewerton, NY; his nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call 5pm to7pm Thursday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. Franics will be laid to rest in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y. at the convenience of the family.
