Francis Grim Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A. - Cumberland on Feb. 16, 2026.
Cumberland, MD- Today we honor the end of Frank's earthly journey on February 12, 2026. Francis "Frank" Gene Grim was born October 18, 1940 in Sandy Hook, MD to Anna Frances (Reynolds) and Miller Rudasill Grim. Frank was a wonderful brother to his sisters: Patricia Donahue, Doris Coffey, and Rosalie Caldwell, who all preceded him on this journey. He has been married to his soulmate: Linda (Perdew) Grim for 62 years. They were blessed with three daughters: Yvetta Grim, Angella (Grim) Moon, and Heather (Grim) Bambara; and four grandchildren: Liam Moon, Brady Moon, Briella Moon, and Brooks Bambara.

Frank graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1958 and then served in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He began his work history at the Celanese and was later employed at Pittsburgh Plate Glass, Cumberland Steel, and then retired from CSX as an electrician. He was a proud member of the Western Maryland Central Labor Council and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Frank always found time for his children and grandchildren even though he enjoyed many bowling leagues and card clubs. Over the years, Frank was a regular Red Cross blood donor. He always had a smile and enjoyed his many friends.

Family and friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Bruce McBride officiating. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home at 4:00 P.M. by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard

The family would like to thank UPMC and Hospice Staff, Baltimore Pike and Flintstone Volunteer Fire Departments and wonderful neighbors who all provided compassionate care.

For those wanting to honor Frank's memory, donations may be made to the above listed volunteer fire departments.
