Francis was self-employed as a Fence Erector for many years. He was a member of the Apponaug Old Timers and a Volunteer Firefighter for the Warwick Fire Department. He also served as President of the Rhode Island Country Music Association.
He is survived by his loving companion of twenty-three years, Charlene DiBona, his beloved children, Michael F. Keenan (Denise) of Warwick, William R. Keenan (Deborah) of Warwick, and Rebecca Keenan of West Warwick, his siblings, Robert Keenan of Coventry and Jane Wells of Cranston, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.

Rest in peace Uncle Butch.I will always remember the frequent times that you would call me concerned because you couldn't reach my father. Your younger brother will miss you greatly. I will miss the sense of humor you had commenting on my Facebook posts.You may be gone but will never be forgotten.You made three beautiful children, Billy, Becky and Michael and I'm wishing that they all may find peace in their memories of you.

Uncle (Butch) you were dearly loved by many including me and you will be dearly missed. I remember years ago how I used to to go next door and hang out with you and auntie Norma and my cousins and mom. Those were the days. God you gained a beautiful angel. I love you uncle always.
