Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away August 28th, 2025 at age 102. Preceded in death by parents Andrew and Catherine McMahon; sister Alberta Stansberry; grandson Gregory Adler; loving wife of 74 years Dorothy. Survived by sons Michael McMahon (Melodie) and Thomas McMahon; daughter Kathleen McMahon-Adler (Edward Adler); grandchildren Emily Wilkinson (Douglas), Timothy McMahon (Tara), Molly McMahon, Brian Adler; great-granddaughter Harper McMahon. Mac was a WWIl Marine Corp veteran. An employee of Western Electric for 35 years. He was very active at Church of St. Kevin, was a trustee and one of first three lay ministers. He continued to be active at Our Lady of Peace. He was a Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster for many years. He was a BeFriender. His volunteering included installing Life Lines, serving Loaves and Fishes at St. Stephens, delivering Meals on Wheels. Mac was a loving, inspiring, remarkable man; he will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Celebration of Life will be October 6th, 2025 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 5426 12th Avenue South, Minneapolis MN 55417, Visitation 10:00 a.m., Mass 11:00 a.m. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and Northwestern Health Sciences University, College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Gregory Adler Scholarship Fund, 2501 West 84th Street, Bloomington MN 55431.

A generous and dedicated Boy Scout Leader Troop 185, Mac was a positive influence in our lives and all of the other boys in Troop 185.
I try to emulate his approach to dealing with adversity while retaining a pleasant sense of humor.
