Frank FAB McMonagle
3/4/1952- 5/16/2024
Frank 'Fab' McMonagle, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on May 16, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, Fab was the beloved son of the late Charles (Buck) McMonagle and Dorothy McMonagle (nee Sharp).
Fab was the loving brother of the late Charles (Bucko) McMonagle Jr and the late Catherine Drum. He is survived by his brother Thomas ‘Tim’ McMonagle (Joann).
Fab was the devoted husband of Patricia McMonagle (nee Magee) and the cherished father of Francis C. McMonagle (Kitty), Kelly McMonagle, and Lindsay McMonagle. He was a proud grandfather to Francis C. McMonagle Jr. (Ashley),Mia McMonagle, Teeghan Pesante, and Kreid McKie, as well as a great-grandfather to Wesley McMonagle and Francesca “Frankie” McMonagle.
Fab will also be missed by his nieces and nephews :Michael Kowalski(Sherri),Kitty Fisherkeller(Paul),Terry Labree (Paul) ,Christie Kowalski And many great nieces and nephews.
Fab worked as a pressman for the Philadelphia Inquire and Daily News for 30 years and was a school bus driver for St. John Cantius Catholic School for 15 years. Fab was a proud union member of Local 16. He worked extremely hard his entire life. Fab retired at the age of 60 and became a member of the Villas fishing club, the greater Cape May Elks Lodge and enjoyed watching thunder storms over the ocean and bay.
Fab was a man of immense humor and wisdom. His heart was enormous and if you needed him, he was there, no questions asked ! He loved his family and cherished time spent together. His legacy of fight, strength ,love and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather to remember Fab on Friday, May 24, 2024 beginning at 10am at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137. (Parking on premises). A prayer service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately.
