Francis "Frankie" William Merlino died May 16, 2025. He was born on May 2, 1969 in Oyster Bay, New York. A resident of Okeechobee for eight years, he was a Christ follower. He enjoyed playing pool, surfing, driving trucks, collecting, gambling, football, enjoying life, and most of all, playing with his grandchildren.
Mr. Merlino was preceded in death by his father, Philip Merlino; mother, Paula Merlino; and brother, Kenny Merlino.
He is survived by his significant other, Bandra Carner, of Okeechobee, Florida; daughters, Kara Merlino (Anthony Rosello), of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Bethany Mendez, of California; grandchildren, Carson Rosello and Cameron Rosello; sisters, Elaine Guelli (Sal Guelli), of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Fran Kirschenhofer (Lou), of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Toni Mantei, of Montana; nephews, Christopher Kirschenhofer, Alex Nathan Guelli, and Justin Mantei; nieces, Jennifer Moreno, Brittany Kirschenhofer, and Christine Barefield; and many close friends he considered family.
A celebration of life will be held. Please contact the family for further information.
