Obituary
Francis Charles Pullano, Sr., ("Frank") loved to be surrounded by his large family and numerous friends. He was born in 1941 in the South Beach section of Staten Island, NY. After high school, Frank proudly served his country in the US Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he began his career at Metropolitan Life, New York City. In 1968 he settled his ever-growing family into Oakhurst, NJ, where he graciously served his community on the Board of Adjustment and numerous committees. He was a founding member of IAATO and spent many summers growing the Italian American Festival into the major event it is today. Frank served as Emcee of the Bicentennial Memorial Day Parade in 1976. He was an active member of the Jaycees. In addition, he volunteered as a coach to his children's Little League, Pop Warner, Soccer, and Babe Ruth Baseball teams. Frank proudly served in both the NJ National Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary in South Florida; he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Frank loved to dance, he loved the NY Giants, and was always quick to tell a good "dad joke." He loved to spar with people on Facebook, which frequently landed him Facebook Jail.
He and his beloved girlfriend, Stacy Wallis spent many years RV-ing around the country before giving up the road to settle into their current home in Sarasota, Florida, where Frank passed peacefully at home on Hospice as he wished.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Albert and Ermenia Pullano, his nephew, Christopher Pullano, and beloved and very spoiled dog Allegro.
Frank is survived by his endless love Stacy Wallis, devoted brother and sister-in-law Albert Pullano and Debi Setola/Taylor, his children, Cyndi White (husband Kirk), Frank Pullano, Jr. (wife Michelle), Roxann Andrus (husband Brad), Stacie Harkavy (husband Jason) and Michael Pullano (wife Pam), his grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy and Jacob White, Nick and Amelia Pullano, Jack and Eliza Andrus, Jolie and Aria Harkavy and Parker Pullano.
Frank was a wonderful stepfather to Chris and Anthony Campanile; Tim and Derek Wallis, and also "Pops" to Donna Johnson.
All are welcome to pay final respects at Damiano Funeral home, 191 Franklin Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740 Frank's life on May 18, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm.
Interment with full military honors will be held at the Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery, Sarasota Florida, on May 22, 2023, at 2:30 pm.
