On Monday December 5, 2023 We lost Francis (Frank) T. Soya of Waukesha Wisconsin to his fight with Leukemia. At the time of his death, he was 93 years of age.
Frank was born on October 12, 1929 in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Bernice Soya.
Frank served in the Korean war and graduated officer training as a second lieutenant.
On the 19th of June 1954 he married Frances (Fran) V. Tomczak. Truly a match made in heaven. Together for 68 years.
Frank and Fran brough 6 children into this world (Bernard Joseph, Paul Francis, Mark Edward, David Allen, Francis Thomas Jr. and Keith John Soya). To say together they raised these 6 men would be short-sighted. There was always Cousin George Basara who spent summers with them and the many neighborhood friends of their sons who Frank and Fran treated as their own. They did so unselfishly.
Franks professional career in finance started with Westinghouse Credit Corporation. He later held management and sr. management positions with Ford Motor Credit and White motor Credit. He was instrumental in helping companies like Fiat and Deutsche Bank establish credit companies in the United States.
Frank was predeceased by his brothers Stan, John and Bernard and his sisters Josephine and Helen.
He is survived by his wife Fran, their sons and their wives, his thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Words cannot begin to describe the loss they are experiencing. Just as Jesus blessed Peter and said to his disciples "upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it, Frank was the rock upon which Jesus built this family.
Visitation will be held at Queen of Apostle Catholic Church, N35W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday, December 17, 2023 at 9:30 AM. Please come to share stories and meet the family. Service to follow at 11:00 am.
Flower deliveries should be sent to 2424 Forest Hill Court, Waukesha, Wisconsin, 53188.
