Lowell Keith Carder ("Mr. Keith")
November 30, 1941 – July 27, 2025
Lowell Keith Carder, lovingly known as "Mr. Keith," passed away on July 27, 2025, in Portage, Wisconsin, at the age of 83. Born on November 30, 1941, in Franklin, Indiana, Keith was a man of quiet strength, kindness, and deep commitment to his family, his faith in God and community.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah Marie Carder (née Goudelock), with whom he shared a life of love and partnership. Keith was a devoted stepfather to Karen L. Lutomski Carder (Andrew Schaller), and a proud father to Robert K. Carder (Jenny Carder).
Keith cherished his role as a grandfather and was deeply proud of his grandchildren: Tessa R. Hays (Beau Browning), Christopher J. Patton, Gabriel T.K. Patton, and Bobbi Joy Poquette. He was affectionately known as "Grandpa Great" to his great-grandchildren: Silas, Saphira, Damian, Persephone, Ryder, and Riley-and to many more children who lovingly called him "Grandpa," whether by blood or by bond.
Keith was a brother, an uncle, and a loyal friend to many. He had a generous heart and a steady presence that touched countless lives. He worked for many years at The Oilgear Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic.
Keith's life was marked by quiet leadership, unconditional love, and a deep sense of integrity. He will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Home Cemetery, 2405 West Forest Home Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215.
