Francis Xavier Reagan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home on Apr. 5, 2023.
Francis Edward Xavier Reagan, Jr. "Sandy", father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 31, 2023. Born in Roxborough on March 12, 1946, he was the beloved son to the late Francis E. Reagan, Sr. and Catherine (nee Donnelly).
Upon graduating Bishop Kenrick High School in 1964, he went on to West Chester University where he excelled on their football and baseball teams, all while receiving his Bachelors of Science in Education. Sandy spent several years at John Wanamaker Junior High School serving as their Physical Education Teacher. Through his hard work and dedication, Sandy developed Reagan-Schuyler Insurance Agency where he owned and operated the business for 26 years until his retirement.
In his free time, Sandy enjoyed golfing at Plymouth Country Club and Cedarbrook Country Club, playing cards with his friends, and softball games with "Al's Cold Cuts" team. He was a car enthusiast and loved his Corvettes. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He was the proud father to David Francis (Sarah Burch Brennan) Reagan and Robyn Lynn Reagan-Landgraf (Shawn Landgraf), grandfather to four grandchildren: Sophia, Colby, Campbell and Penelope. Brother to Cathy Reagan, Kristin Pfeiffer, the late Terrence Reagan, and Barbara Galczyk, as well as Uncle to many and dear friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him, especially his long-time partner and soulmate, Kathleen Mary Daher.
Sandy had a big personality that everyone loved to be around. Everywhere he went, someone always knew him. He was extremely giving and funny. Sandy loved sports – playing sports, watching sports, and attending sporting events. He was competitive and fun-spirited, but always loved a challenge. He loved shopping and the beach, especially Avalon and Stone Harbor, NJ where he spent time as a child and owned a home for many years as well. He always lived life to the fullest and lived life in the present moment. He was a wonderful father and an amazing friend to so many.
A life celebration in honor of Sandy will be on held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 10 am to 11:20 am with his Memorial Service to follow at 11:30 am all at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike.

Sandy was a very memorable individual. He was a great athlete and excelled in any sport that he played. He was a tough but fair competitor. I had the opportunity to play against him in softball when he played for Al´s cold cuts. I also played golf with him numerous times and played 2 member/ guests with him as my partner. It´s hard to believe but we didn´t get in one argument with any of our competitors during those two weekends. Of course, Sandy had mellowed somewhat by that time. His sporting activities brought him many chronic and acute orthopedic injuries for which I treated him and did multiple surgeries. I told him once that if I had 10 Sandy Reagans I wouldn´t need any other patients. He was the toughest patient that I have ever seen. And I truly mean that. He never complained. Of course he never listened to anything I told him after his surgeries. If I told him it was going to be 12 weeks before he´d recover, he somehow managed to heal in six weeks. He was a true Norristown sports legend/personality. He will surely be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of calling him friend. May he rest in peace.
