Francisca Garcia (nee Cavazos), age 93, late of South Chicago, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. She was born on November 8, 1932, and lived a life filled with love, family, and lasting memories. Francisca was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Natividad F. Garcia, whose presence brought her immense joy and companionship. She dedicated herself to her family, and her legacy endures through her loving children, Myrna, Natividad Jr., Manuel, Rolando, Cynthia, Elizabeth, and Marilyn. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and the values she instilled. As a caring grandmother, Francisca showered her affection upon her grandchildren: Peter, Myrna, Natividad Jr. “Tito,” Rachel, Brianah, John Manuel, Daniel, Robert, Rolando Jr., Emilia, Carolina, Valentina, and Matthew. She took great pride in each of their unique journeys, celebrating their achievements and comforting them in times of need. Furthermore, she was a proud great-grandmother to many, embracing the role with joy and warmth. In addition to her immediate family, Francisca cherished her siblings: Manuel, Tomas, Enerina, Auralia, Jesus, and Roberto. These bonds were a source of strength throughout her life, and she remained a kind sister and confidante. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her guidance and love. Francisca was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Enerina Cavazos, who laid the foundation for the strong family values she upheld. Her time on this earth has touched countless lives, and she will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, unwavering love, and the countless memories she created with those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we honor the memory of Francisca Garcia, we reflect on a life well-lived, enriched by family bonds and a legacy of love that will endure through the generations.
