Francisco Belarmino Bermeo

Francisco Belarmino Bermeo, age 76, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away April 15, 2023. Born October 20, 1946 in Macara Provincia de loja, Ecuador, he emigrated to the United States of America in 1985, first landing on the west coast, Montebello, California. Lived and worked there for a few months, then moved to the east coast, Elizabeth, New Jersey for 18 months before making Miami Florida his permanent home. For over 20 years he worked in the auto auction industry as a driver. He instilled in all who he knew the importance of putting family first, working hard, and looking for the better in every situation. His grandchildren and great grandchildren spent many precious hours with him and will always remember his smiling face, and how they laughed at all of his jokes. Francisco loved music and dancing. His favorite type of music was cumbia and baladas. He remained positive throughout his cancer illness. His last wish was for his family to remain together, happy, and always moving forward.
Through Francisco's cancer journey, he was always surrounded by his ex wife Ruth Bermudez, his daughters Maite ( Anthony ) Gonzalez, Jessica ( Pablo ) Matute, Tricia Bermeo, and his son Francisco Jr., 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Fransisco's life that includes a prayer service will be held on Friday, April 28, from 7 to 11 pm at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood.
