Francisco (Frank) T. Martinez, 86, a lifetime resident of Cleveland, N.M., passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, peacefully, at his home.

He was born in Mora, NM, on July 28, 1939, to the late Paul Martinez and Julia Lucero.

He was united in marriage on January 27, 1961, to the late Dolores Ann Martinez.

A lifelong Catholic, he attended St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM. Frank was gifted with the ability to make anything out of wood. Custom woodwork was his passion. Frank also loved to travel the road, always willing to drive anywhere. Frank would help anyone in need and his family always knew they could count on him for anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul Martinez and Julia Lucero; his wife, Dolores Martinez; brother in-laws Don DeVargas, Bennie Fresquez& Guillermo Gonzales; grandsons, Santiago Lovato and Diego Martinez; brother, Dan Lucero; sister in-law, Jennie Martinez.

Frank is survived by his son, Frank A. Martinez, daughters, Debra Martinez, Teresa (Marcus) Dominguez, Catherine R. Martinez Alarcon (Lalo), and Sara Martinez (Edmundo); grandchildren: Crystal, April, Jonathan (Rebecca), Denise, Deanna, Sommur, Willow, Tawyna (Ramon), Francisco, Isaac (Germaine), Emilia, Stephanie, Jessica, Kari (Richard), Marc, Joseph (Jessey), Robyn, GraciAnn, Charollette, Estevan, Layla, Raymond and Edmundo Sebastian, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Sisters and brothers, Angie Gonzales, Paul Martinez, Pauline Martinez and Andres Martinez, sister-in-law, Selena Sandoval Lucero.

Rosary devotional services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 7 p.m. at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude Church in Mora with Father Dale Craig, S.O.L.T, as celebrant. Interment will follow at the family plot in La Cordillera with the following serving as urn bearers: Edmundo Salazar, Francisco Lovato and Raymond Abeyta.
