Francisco Rodriguez Obituary
Francisco Rodriguez, 93, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, Francisco relocated to New Jersey in the early 1960s, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and devotion to family. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean War and attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. His military service was a meaningful and cherished chapter of his life-one he spoke of often and fondly, sharing stories and memories with his family and friends.
Francisco was a devoted husband, a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather and a hardworking man in every sense of the word. Above all else, his greatest joy came from caring for his family and ensuring they were always provided for. He lived his life with purpose, pride, and quiet strength, valuing honesty, responsibility, and the simple blessings of a life well lived.
Predeceased by his parents, Andres and Antonia (Rodriguez) Lopez; sons, Elvin Rodriguez and Felix Negron; sister, Virginia Miranda; brothers, Guillermo Rodriguez and Rafa Rodriguez; and granddaughters, Michelle and Nicole.
Francisco is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Alice M. (Silva) Rodriguez; 10 children, Enid Rodriguez, Evelyn Gomez, Nancy (Alexander) Rodriguez, Diane (Gary) Moore, David Negron, Sonia Choto, Francisco (Evelyn) Rodriguez Jr., Erick (Portia) Rodriguez, Nicholas (Kate) Rodriguez and Andres (Jennifer) Rodriguez; 2 sisters, Aida and Mercedes; 27 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, January 22, 206 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home.
Interment with honors will follow in the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, North Hanover Twp., NJ 08562.
