Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Partner, and Friend August 28, 1949 – September 28, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Francisco Salgado, who left us peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was 76 years old.
Born on August 28, 1949, in Mexico, Francisco built a life of love, hard work, and devotion. He later made his home in Aurora, Illinois.
Known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and gentle spirit, Francisco touched countless lives through his compassion and humility.
Francisco worked for many years at Unilock in Aurora, IL and later with the Naperville Park District in Naperville, IL.
Outside of work, he found joy in spending time in his yard, always taking pride in its care. He was constantly on the go- whether running errands, helping someone in need, or staying active.
His energy and willingness to lend a hand were hallmarks of his life.
Above all, Francisco was a devoted father, loving grandfather, caring brother, and loyal partner. He is survived by his four children: Carolina Salgado, Francisco Salgado, Janet Salgado, and David Salgado.
He was the proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren:
Jasmine Jimenez, Jessica Jimenez, Francisco
III Salgado, Jaylene Velasquez, Rolando Jr. Velasquez, Elissa Salgado, Jazabel Velasquez, Nathaniel Santiago, Jayda Martinez, Aileen Santiago, Jianna Martinez, and Francisco
IV Salgado, Uriel Salgado.
He was also blessed to be the great-grandfather of three great-grandchildren: Elias Salgado, Jaziel Duarte, and Amira Givins.
He also leaves behind loving siblings and his lovely partner,Maria Ramos, all of whom will continue to carry his memory forward.
Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and dearly beloved wife, Carolina Salgado.
All who knew and loved Francisco are welcome to attend and join the family in honoring his life, sharing memories, and celebrating the mark he left on our hearts.
