Francisco Vasquez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stroud Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.
Francisco Cortez Vasquez, 74, of Clute, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born on August 8, 1951, in Raymondville, Texas.

Francisco proudly served his country for eight years in the United States Army as a Sergeant and was stationed in Korea and Germany during his military service. He carried the values of discipline, strength, and loyalty with him throughout his life.

Above all else, Francisco was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life centered around his family. He loved bringing everyone together for family gatherings to play lotería, sharing stories, laughter, and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He also had a passion for woodworking and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His kindness, generosity, and strong presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Francisco is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Vasquez; his children, Monica Vasquez, Erica Godoy, Valarie Vasquez, and Laura Vasquez; and the three grandchildren he helped raise as his own, Vennessa Hudson, Jaulean Vasquez, and Andrew Vasquez. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 12 brothers and sisters who will continue to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Esther Vasquez, and his brothers, Santiago Vasquez, Lorenzo Jr. Vasquez, and Julio Vasquez.

Francisco's legacy of love, strength, and dedication to family will live on in the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
