Frank Christopher Abrams passed away on January 17, 2026 at the age of 65 surrounded by family after a tough battle with Lung cancer.

He was born October 8, 1960 to the late Frank H and Minnie Marcinowski Abrams.

Frank is preceded in death by his father; Frank H Abrams and mother; Minnie Marcinowski Abrams, grandparents; Leo and Esther Scott Marcinowski, Martice Abrams, Evelyn Helms, Uncle Leo Burns Marcinowski, Aunts Gail Read and Shirley Harrison and Cousin Jay Harrison.

Raised in Selma, Alabama, Frank grew up Catholic at Our Lady Queen Of Peace church. He was a man of great intelligence who spent his career as a computer engineer. A true 'tinkerer', he had a brilliant mind for building and fixing things; he could truly make something out of nothing and if it was broken, he could probably find a way to make it run again.

He was married for 30 years to his ex-wife Shirley Lawrence, with whom he shared his children and built a foundation for his family.

In addition to being a father, he was proud to be a grandfather to ten and a great-grandfather to one. Also known as 'grand farter'.

He leaves behind his children: Shelby (Joseph) Gibson, Frank (Shanna) Abrams, and Christina Abrams; 10 grandchildren: Hunter, Lycan, Lucian, Laine, Lilith, Colton, Aubrey, Trent, Gracie, Landon, and one great-grandchild, Harlen Kay; sister, Pam (James) Mitchell; niece and nephews, Nick Mitchell and Emily (Cade) Adams; special friend Janice Davis; uncle, Richard Read; cousins, Randy Read, Rusty Read, Michael Harrison and Kendall Harrison.

He was a man who loved the simple things. Whether he was camping, fishing, or out gold dredging and metal detecting, he loved being outdoors and the adventure of the hunt. He was rarely seen without a cup of coffee and never turned down a chance for Chinese food. Music was a big part of his life, and he loved the time spent with a guitar in his hands.

Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Selma. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Frank W. Abrams, Joseph Gibson Jr, Nick Mitchell Cade Adams, Randy Read & Rusty Read.
