Judith Abrams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Czopek Funeral Directors on Jan. 29, 2026.
Judith Ann Schubert, born on April 13, 1937, to the union of John and Pauline (Jessen) Schubert in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, leaving behind a cherished legacy rooted in love and family.

As one of nine children, Judy grew up understanding the importance of family ties. After graduating from Jefferson High School in Wyandotte, she found love with Clifford Abrams, and the two were united in marriage. Judy dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom, lovingly raising their three sons. Once her sons graduated, she found fulfillment in her career as a legal secretary, spending 20 plus years with the law firm

Judy was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Riverview until her sons were born. Afterward, she became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Taylor, where her sons attended school. Following their graduation, Judy and Clifford returned to Immanuel Lutheran, where they enjoyed being in the company of family and friends.

A passionate traveler, Judy embraced opportunities to explore the world, and in retirement, she and Clifford joined the Nomads group, visiting many countries, with Norway standing out as a favorite destination. Music was a lifelong passion for Judy; she played the piano and was well-known in her nursing home for her constant singing, bringing joy to those around her.

Above all, Judy's greatest love was for her family. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Schubert; her brothers, James and Joseph Schubert; her loving husband of 69 years, Clifford Abrams; and two beloved sons, Alan and Adam Abrams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son, Andrew (Gayle Hill) Abrams; grandchildren, Curtis and Justin Abrams; and her siblings: Janet Lesperance, John Schubert, Jayne Ward, Jean Goodman, Joyce Solomon, and Jay Schubert.

Judy Ann Abrams will be remembered for her unwavering love, her vibrant spirit, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
