FRANK H. ADAMS, SR., age 82 of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was born in Geiger; Sumter County, Alabama June 19, 1943 to the blessed union of the late Rufus and Mariah Fowler Adams. He peacefully transitioned to the will of God and entered the Master's Joy surrounded by loving family on January 25, 2026.
Graveside Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration will be held in Zion Brush Creek M. B. Church Cemetery, 3410 County Road 131, Eutaw, AL 35462 on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Lead pastor of Christian Community Church, Tuscaloosa, Rev. Clarence Sutton, Jr., PhD will be officiant; Rev. Samuel Ezell is church pastor. Visitation is Friday afternoon (Feb. 6th) from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Funeral Home Chapel.
During his youth Frank attended Greene County Training School, Boligee, AL. His early sunrise in Christ began at Zion Brush Creek M.B. Church in Eutaw, Alabama. Once he relocated in New York he united with Antioch Baptist Church of Carona. While there, he was a member of the June Club and a dedicated Sunday School attendee. Also in New York he drove the city's High School Bus for over thirty years until his retirement in November of 2009. That same year he returned to Alabama residing in Tuscaloosa. In Tuscaloosa he joined Christian Community Church under the lead pastor, Rev. Clarence Sutton, Jr. PhD where he faithfully worshipped until his passing.
Those who have preceded him in death are his loving parents; a daughter Denise Adams; siblings, James, Sussex, Wesley, George Adams, Curtis, Bob and Ruby Jones.
Loved ones who remain to cherish precious memories are: his loving and devoted wife, Deborah G. Adams, Tuscaloosa, AL; one daughter Kim Adams of Charlotte, N.C; three sons, Frank H. Adams, Jr. of California, Scott K. Adams, New York and Rickey (Essie) Woolridge, Barnsville, GA; two granddaughters, Shenika A. Gatling and Tykeshia Washington; one grandson Rickey Woolridge, Jr; six (6) great granddaughters; two great grandsons; one great great granddaughter; siblings - Edward (Ethel) Adams, Queens, N.Y., Rachel (Robert) Roberts, York, AL., Viola Jones and Lloyd (Tonitia) Jones, both of Bessemer, AL; a cousin raised as a brother, Larry L. Smoot of York, AL; seven (7) sisters-in-law; Lucille Adams, Lumberton, MS, Lynn and Faye Jones of Bessemer, AL, Monica Mendez, Verlyn McLean and Virgina Knight, all of Jamaica and Iveta Morgan of Florida; a brother-in-law Jerrond Morgan of New York; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates who will truly miss him.
