born on July 13, 1960, in New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was a dedicated self-employed contractor and the proud owner of Almonte Designs, where his perfectionist attitude and knack for unique designs allowed him to push the boundaries of creative wood-working throughout his distinguished career.
For all the passion and attention he poured into his work, Frank’s commitment to his family was second-to-none, showcased by the incredible home he single-handedly built to spend his life with them in. He spent 37 wonderful years married to his beloved wife, Jacqueline A. (Henry) Almonte. Together, they filled that home with love and happiness, cherishing every moment spent with their two sons, Frank J. Almonte II and his partner Loriann, and Nicholas J. Almonte and his wife Samantha.
Frank is also survived by his dear mother, Ruth (Krakauske) Almonte; his sisters, Sandra Langlois, Karen Bellows and her husband Gary; his brother, James Almonte and his wife Christina; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Almonte, whose influence and memory remains in the hearts of all those he left behind.
Whether he was racing down the ski slopes, competing fiercely on the tennis courts, or making up his own extreme games, there was never a dull moment spent with Frank. No matter where he was or what he was doing, Frank created loving and lasting memories filled with laughter and joy for everyone around. Frank will be remembered as the life of the party; a man who would give the shirt off his back; a person who welcomed all into his family with open arms.
Frank’s funeral will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday, March 6 from 4-7pm.
