Frank Werner Bonheim 3/26/1926- 2/27/2017
Frank was born in The Free City of Danzig to Walter and Kate Boenheim. The family emigrated New York City in 1938, before settling in Columbus, Ohio. Frank attended middle school and high school in Columbus and obtained both his Bachelors and Master’s degrees from the Ohio State University. WWII interrupted his studies while he served with the US Army where he drove convoys over the Alps in support of the US victory.
Frank’s business career began working for the State of Ohio before moving on to the retail sector. He spent 20 years with Montgomery Wards and 21 years with Levitz Furniture, retiring with honor as Vice President of Human Resources
Frank was an avid reader and played the violin, often joining his parents and two brothers (now deceased, George Bonham and Helmut Bonheim) performing the classics.
Frank enjoyed traveling to visit his European roots. Wengen, Switzerland, was his favorite spot to visit and he returned many times to his favorite small hotel, room #14, where he could enjoy the view of the Jungfrau.
Frank leaves behind his wife, Diane, son David, daughter Louise Seconde (Martyn), daughter Staci Novotny (Harry), grandchildren Emily Lapetino (Tim), Christine Bonheim, Sarah Seconde, Julia Brecht (Matt), Keith Seconde, Michael Bonheim and Olive Kate Novotny. Also great grandchildren Paige and Max Lapetino, Matt and Emma Brecht.
A celebration of life will be held at National Cremation & Burial Society, 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, FL, 32765, on Friday, March 3, 2017, from 3-5 PM.

We are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Bonheim was always a wonderful guest at Adriatico Trattoria Italiana. We came to know him over the past 10 years. He was always a gentleman and a delight to chat with. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Diane and the entire family during this very difficult time.
