Frank Wayne Bunch, 60, of 607 B Avoca Farm Road, Merry Hill, NC died at his home Monday, November 17, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Frank was born in Newport News, Virginia and lived in Chowan County for many of his young years, and later moved to his grandparents homeplace (Willis Farm) in Merry Hill, NC.
When Frank was a young man he loved to fish, duck hunt, and trap as he grew up on the farm, also being an avid reader of history and genealogy. In the past years, Frank enjoyed riding on his pontoon boat with his friends and family up the Salmon Creek to the Chowan River for fun times and enjoying nature.
Frank was a member of Merry Hill Baptist Church and at a young age was baptized by the late Revered Wint Hale. Frank was employed as a screen printer at Eden House Graphics of Merry Hill, NC.
He is preceded in death by his devoted mother Millie Elizabeth Willis Bunch; infant sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Powell Bunch; grandparents, Bert C. Willis Sr., Evelyn Hollowell Willis, King Roscoe Bunch, and Ida Powell Bunch.
He is survived by his father Frank Parker Bunch; brother, Thomas Gray Bunch (Cathy) of Winterville, NC; nephews, Jackson and Parker Bunch of Winterville, NC; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and a very special friend whom he loved very much Angie White. Frank was very thankful to have Angie by his side throughout this difficult time.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 12, 2025 at, Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton, NC.
The family of Frank Bunch want to send their thanks to Gentiva Hospice Care of 201 E. Water Street, and to Dr. Michael T. Hopkins M.D. and the nurses of Vidant Oncology-Outpatient Clinic, 211 Virginia Rd, Edenton, NC 27932.
